Those 8 pipes jutting out of the hood are the headers, right? I was talking shit about this thing earlier and I don’t wanna look too stupid.

could be headers. but from this angle they dont look like pipes, more like fins (look at the ‘passenger’ side. those would be some thick af headers)
cooling fins maybe? vents a-la mustang?

I don’t think there would be tube headers on a turbine engine.

8 pipes for some undefined rocket science purpose other than making the car look fast.

I’d say exhaust/headers.

That's my thought.

They are headers for the turbine (...). Note that this batmobile is supposed to have six on each side, unfortunately the most iconic image is incorrect.

I thought it was the ribbing for her pleasure.

That’s what I was talking shit about. The pipes are always inconsistant, the Batmobile can never decide how many cylinders it has.

This Batmobile defintly uses a traditional engine of sorts along with an afterburner. You could hear the engine revving, idling, and all other awesome sounds throughout the show.

I think it’s the “Engine Macaroni”... everyone knows that adding macaroni to an engine helps the performance...
:-)

That looks like a V14 engine... a V12... with a foot of unnecessary steel and two additional cylinders tacked on at the end.
Must be for additional Road Hugging Weight.
Imagine doing a U-turn in that thing?
